Ftb can be a HUGE memory pig. If you are crashing, switch to use default texture pack and then set all video setting to low

If new players were to start with any amount of emeralds in their inventory they could be likely targets for PvP. If they had protection like what was mentioned in another thread it could work, but if new players vote, they get 6z right away.

You could just build your own for free, then protect it with a grief field.
